Angela is the founder of the business 9 years ago. Angela is amazed at
us all, she is constantly staring and admiring how beautiful we all
are, each to our own, our ethnic differences, our inner beauty and then
her photography encourages people to be themselves but understand how
important each of us are.
Photographing people and obtaining an image that is the true essence of
who we think we are is a dedicated and fine skill only years of
experience and heart can see.
Angela is really in love with her wedding clients, it is such a fun day
and she is always honoured to be a part of it. She has a way of getting
you to relax into each other and enjoy making love in front of the
camera for the most emotional images, all her wedding clients are
totally blown away at the results of their special day.
She is parenting 9 year old Marco who is being trained as third
generation photographer, and when he was born decided to start a little
portrait business photographing people and predominately babies. Later
she started a wedding photography business and now does stunning
creative images of people self employed, staff and managing directors,
some ad agency and industrial photography.
Angela's father Gordon Bruce Scott started taking pictures after his
father Bruce advised him not to become an accountant but to pursue a
career he would be able to meet people and see the countryside.
After earning enough money to buy his first camera he started
taking pictures of early Auckland's houses in black in white, 1950's,
he then went on to travel with his best friend Ron Keam a University
Lecturer in Science to New Zealand's thermal areas and produced little
scenic booklets about NZ's wonderous thermal valleys and mountains and
then onto photographing all of New Zealand and producing Calendars and
Postcards. Gordon's photographs are some of the most amazing early New
Zealand images that are our history and currently owned by Auckland's
Museum.
Angela's sister Judy Scott, now Reinen also was a photographer and
owned Creative Shotz photography, she now has little Oscar now 4 and
lives on Santoriri Island in Greece and frequents New Zealand with her
husband Olaf, shooting weddings and portraits in our summer months.

I have always been immersed in the creative industries. I danced for 10
years and have worked in fashion and publicity, music, advertising and
media, radio and styling and graduated from a music degree and Graphic
Design. Alongside these interests, I have always had a huge passion for
photography.
The hardest decision growing up was which creative industry to choose!
So I decided to try and do it all in some form. I'm a huge lover of
people and their unique intricacies, and have an indepth interest for
sociology, psychology and human behaviour. I adore children and have
been a nanny for over 10 years.
Working at Angela Scott Photographers for me, allows me to utilise my
love for design and photography as Angela's Graphic Designer, whilst at
the same time allows me to engage with children as one of Angela's
assistants, acting out the role of the clown to make the children smile
and laugh. There's been the odd toy that's come out for adults
even.
I have the ultimate respect for Angela and her special gifts of both
her immense technical & creative skills as a photographer, to
capture the true essence of people, and the ability to make every
single person who walks into the studio feel special and appreciated.
Her work is incredibly beautiful and heartfelt & her fun, positive,
warm nature makes her a pleasure to work for. I feel very blessed!

I've always had my fingers in lots of pies in the hopeful search for
professional inspiration.
I've worked innumerable fashion shows, years as a fairy for fantastical
events, with makeup and hair, in advertising, in management, in child
care, the list goes on. I can now happily say that all these roads have
lead me here. It's a place where I can display all my years of finely
tuned skills and grow others with wild enthusiasm. It's a place where
every day is different and things are fun and crazy and productive all
at the same time. Here I can feed my fascination with the frail and
beautiful nature of the human condition through photography.
I adore learning from Angela's decades of experience and find her to be
a refreshing fountain of knowledge. It's a lovely place to be.

weddings.
