I excelled at art and economics in school so it is no wonder I am now outworking my ability in an art related business.
I have always been a watcher of people, facinated by our uniqueness and differences, and in love with every nationality. What I love most about photography is the ability to see inside someone and develop an image that incorporates who people really are and not just how we see ourselves on the outside.
I started my business when I was pregnant with my child Marco. At that time I worked with property developers- Location Group, and on the weekend I was allowed to take on a portrait or two for extra income.
When I had my child, I put a sign on my home fence stating - portrait photography, and I was thrilled to be booked by a few of my neighbours and it was their support and appreciation initally that gave me the confidence to keep going. I then approached wedding photography and have had the most incredible career shooting amazing weddings that are really inspirational, I really enjoy capturing the heart and tears of people's very special day.
My background is a photographic family, my father produced calendars and postcards of New Zealand and my sister ran a similar business to myself for many years however now lives in Santorini Island, Greece.
As a single working parent, I have worked the long hours to build up a small business and I appreciate the support from all my clients around New Zealand.
A visit to my studio and home reveals the true art pieces. Families, babies, children, couples, weddings, extended families; all have been captured exquisitely and expressively.
“I always feel incredibly humbled to see my photographs taking pride of place in my clients’ homes. You put the things on your walls that you love and cherish. And nothing is more loved and cherished than your family.” Angela Scott

Photographer
Shamima came to photography via a circuitous but colourful route. Working with and learning from Angela Scott was the culmination of a quest for professional inspiration. That journey has included working in high-fashion, experience in media and PR, management, childrens entertainment and child care.
Today, Shamima has found a place and a profession in which she can bring all her finely tuned skills together for a rich and satisfying result, where every day is different and things are fun, a little crazy and highly productive all at the same time.
Shamima's photographic portraiture expresses her fascination with the frail and beautiful nature of the human condition, and her wedding work expresses her high fashion passion to perfect fashion styled couple images to impress.
Like her mentor, she views every creation as a celebration of time and life, an investment in history, and one of the most valuable and enduring possessions any home can hold.

l o u i s e l u d b r o o k
Graphic Designer and Assistant.
I have always been immersed in the creative industries. I danced for 10 years and have worked in fashion and publicity, music, advertising and media, radio and styling and graduated from a music degree and Graphic Design. Alongside these interests, I have always had a huge passion for photography.
The hardest decision growing up was which creative industry to choose! So I decided to try and do it all in some form. I'm a huge lover of people and their unique intricacies, and have an indepth interest for sociology, psychology and human behaviour. I adore children and have been a nanny for over 10 years.
Working at Angela Scott Photographers for me, allows me to utilise my love for design and photography as Angela's Graphic Designer, whilst at the same time allows me to engage with children as one of Angela's assistants, acting out the role of the clown to make the children smile and laugh. There's been the odd toy that's come out for adults even.
I have the ultimate respect for Angela and her special gifts of both her immense technical & creative skills as a photographer, to capture the true essence of people, and the ability to make every single person who walks into the studio feel special and appreciated. Her work is incredibly beautiful and heartfelt & her fun, positive, warm nature makes her a pleasure to work for. I feel very blessed!

Studio Pussy Cat and Child Entertainer
The blessed Rooney is here to meet and entertain your children on arrival.
He came to the studio via my sister asking if we could look after him while she was on-route to Santorini Island.
Ever since he has been the big fat pussy cat and has got a reputation.
His initial reputation was to swipe my clients if they over patted him, however he has come to learn that he likes being over loved and now, quite enjoys it.
We love our Rooney, so do ask to meet him if he's not lounging around, as he may be on his back catnapping in the studio garden.
