Desire to Travel is a boutique luxury destination travel studio specialising in destination weddings, honeymoons, and romantic celebrations.

Founded by Anita Gatley, the business exists to bring clarity, calm, and genuine care to moments that matter most.

With over three decades of experience in the travel industry, Anita offers a rare combination of expertise, honesty, and deeply personal service, guiding couples through complex plans with confidence and ease.

Living Wisdom has been operating in New Zealand and overseas for 3 decades and in that time many thousands of students have gained from the life lessons we teach; clients have found real answers during their counselling appointments, and many have enjoyed listening to and reading our resources.

Countless students have also been inspired in these classes and have gone on to a career in professional counselling, chaplaincy and care giving, or taken up ministry positions in the Church and with mission associations. 

Living Wisdom was born in a lecture room at Otago University in Dunedin NZ while David was studying toward his Degrees during the 1980’s.

The concept dropped into his head and has been developed from that initial ‘God moment’ ever since. 

While at University he completed a Bachelor of Theology, a Post Graduate Degree and a Diploma for Graduates – in Pastoral Therapy. He added to that with a Certificate in Community Studies from Otago Polytechnic. He has added to the knowledge gained in those institutes with hours of personal study and voracious reading over the past 4 decades of counselling and teaching life skills.

He and his wife Rosemary have been running short course Living Wisdom Schools and Seminars in New Zealand and overseas fuelled by that original commission. David is the main lecturer at the Schools and Seminars. He has also developed a busy counselling practise with a national and international clientele. (Further details on Counselling page)

Rosemary is the office administrator – she attends to all emails, publishes the material we have on offer, looks after student accommodation, and takes the occasional lecture at the Schools. Her background is in administration and retail, so she has had plenty of experience interacting with the public.

With over 15 years of experience, we provide a reliable, consistent service and build long-standing relationships with our clients. Our fully mobile service operates within Auckland, throughout New Zealand and Fiji and Rarotonga for International Destination Weddings and Fashion Photoshoots. With over 12 Artists we specialise in: Makeup and Hair Training, Private Clients & Celebrities, Weddings, Events, Fashion, Photographic, Editorial, TV Commercials, Advertising, Product Reviews, Product Training, Clothing Styling, and Men’s Grooming. ​ We use all the top international makeup brands including MAC, Nars, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, Smashbox and Benefit.
